Stardust By Charles Vess and Neil Gaiman

In the sleepy English countryside at the dawn of the Victorian era lies the village of Wall- a secluded hamlet that derives its name from an imposing stone barrier that surrounds a fertile grassland. The leisurely pace in Wall is disrupted only once every nine years as the mortal and magical meet upon the meadow for a market fair like to other.

It is also here that young Tristan Thorn loses his heart to the town beauty, and promises to cross over the Wall to the magical forest to catch a falling star for her. He embarks on a lover’s quest into a a world beyond his wildest imaginings.

The book is a 212 page graphic novel, with beautiful illustrations by Charles Vess to bring out the magical world of fairies, stars, unicorns, witches and many more. It is the same story which inspired the 2007 movie of the same name.
